TSI Scores: In order to help students create the best possible schedule, ASU needs evidence that you are TSI Exempt or we need your TSI scores on file. Please ensure we have your TSI scores no later than a week prior to your orientation event. Submit your scores via email at tsi@angelo.edu or fax to 325-942-2553. If you have taken the TSI but have not submitted scores, please complete the score release form so we can access them. Students who have not had access to the TSI test can test remotely via ASU’s Testing Center starting May 1, 2020. Students can also contact their high school counselor or local community college for information about possible testing in their areas. Students will be required to become TSI complete.
The TSI Assessment tests are for basic reading, math and writing skills. Angelo State University administers these tests for those who need TSI compliance.
TSI was implemented to ensure that students enrolled in Texas public colleges and universities possess the necessary academic skills to succeed. TSI test scores are not used to determine admission status; however, entering students must test before enrolling in college-level courses at any Texas public institution of higher education.
Important: Students who do not have test scores on file will not be allowed to register for classes, unless they are exempt. Prospective students should provide proof of an exemption or schedule to take an approved TSI test as soon as possible so that scores will be available in time for orientation and registration.
TSI Exemptions
Students may be exempt from meeting TSI standards if they have met one of the criteria listed below.
