How Dropping A Class Affects Your Aid
BEFORE CLASSES BEGIN
Financial aid only memos/authorizes at this time.
- Loans require 6 hours.
- Carr requires 12 hours for disbursement purposes.
- Pell, TPEG, Ram Grant and other programs will prorate if you are enrolled less than full-time.
- No impact for Satisfactory Academic Progress purposes.
1ST CLASS DAY THROUGH 4TH CLASS DAY
Financial Aid will look at your enrollment each time we run disbursements. At this point you can still ADD a class.
- Carr requires 12 hours for disbursement purposes.
- Pell, TPEG, Ram Grant and other programs will prorate if you are enrolled less than full-time.
- No impact for Satisfactory Academic Progress purposes.
4TH CLASS DAY THROUGH THE 12TH CLASS DAY
Financial Aid will look at your enrollment each time we run disbursements. At this point the ADD period is over and you cannot add classes (exception may be 2nd 8 weeks class).
- Carr requires 12 hours for disbursement purposes.
- Pell, TPEG, Ram Grant and other programs will prorate if you are enrolled less than full-time.
- A drop will impact your hours attempted vs. hours completed for Satisfactory Academic Progress purposes.
13TH CLASS DAY THROUGH THE END OF THE SEMESTER
Financial Aid hours are locked on the 12th class day and aid will no longer prorate or back out
- A drop will impact the hours attempted vs. hours completed for Satisfactory Academic Progress purposes.
