ASU Education Honor Society Inducts 34
Angelo State University’s Mu Gamma chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi international honor society for education has inducted 34 new members.
The 2011 spring initiates are Rachel Michelle Headstream of Abilene, Garrett Sims Herbst of Bastrop, Meghan Harp of Big Spring, Ashley Martin of Coahoma, Kelly Lynne Gargan of Flower Mound and Linda Istook Blocker of Fort Worth.
Also, Kandis Pyka of Fredericksburg, David Michael Stephens of Galveston, Mandi Dawn Welch of Johnson City, Allison Rae Lux of Kendalia, Laurie Ann Hulse of Lago Vista, Randall Mark Earwood of Marble Falls, Meagan Willmon of Midland, Jazmin Hernandez of Miles and Dana Crumbley Bushong of Pflugerville.
San Angeloans inducted include Summer Rae Allen, Analara Paige Brown, Angel Anastasia Castaneda, Jill Janice Cummings, Renita Jo Dillon, Lillian Lannise Hester, Kimberly Hiseley, Mackenzie May Holik, Jillian L. Houchins, Elizabeth Janell Knight-Howard, Karen Elaine Roach, Brenda Ruiz, Ashley Small, Amber J. Slough and Lashelle Walker.
Other inductees include Aaron Marie Acker of Slaton, Amy Elane Fogleman of Snyder, Jessiqua Arlene Wiggins of Mineral Wells, and Virginia Whitney and Allison Michelle Whitney of Marysville, Wash.
To qualify for Kappa Delta Pi, undergraduate students must be sophomores with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher in 12 or more hours of education courses. Graduate students qualify with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher after a minimum of 12 hours of professional education courses.
