    November 17, 2020 - Angelo State University’s Eta Theta chapter of the Delta Sigma Pi (DSP) national professional business fraternity has received the 2019-20 Outstanding Financial Operations Award for a Collegiate Chapter for DSP’s Southwestern Region.

  • New Adult Education Transfer Agreement with Goodfellow AFB
    November 13, 2020 - Angelo State University has signed a partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Goodfellow Air Force Base that will allow Air Force personnel who have earned an associate degree to transfer their credits into a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (B.A.A.S.) degree program at ASU with a new specialization in adult education.

  • Anonymous Gift to Fund New Memorial Vietnam War Archive
    November 11, 2020 - Angelo State University hosted a special Veterans Day Luncheon today (Nov. 11) to announce an anonymous grant that will fund the formation of a new William and Don Griffis Vietnam War Oral History Archive in the ASU West Texas Collection.

  • Dedication Ceremony Officially Opens New Stephens Chapel on Campus
    October 29, 2020 - Angelo State University today (Oct. 29) hosted a special on-site ceremony to mark the formal dedication and opening of the new Stephens Chapel located at 1965 S. Johnson St. near the center of the ASU campus.

  • Fireworks on Campus Oct. 31
    October 28, 2020 - Angelo State University is planning a fireworks show for the campus community on Saturday, Oct. 31, at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field, 2302 Phil George Drive on the east side of the ASU campus.

  • New Congressman Conaway Archive, Exhibit and Endowment
    October 20, 2020 - Angelo State University has announced an agreement with U.S. Congressman Mike Conaway for the formation of a new K. Michael Conaway Archive and Exhibit in the ASU Mayer Museum, as well as a $250,000 gift from Conaway to establish the K. Michael Conaway Fellowship Endowment at ASU.

  • Management Alum Joins ASU Foundation Board
    October 19, 2020 - Angelo State University alumnus Will Welch has joined the Board of Trustees for the ASU Foundation, a public, nonprofit organization established to provide financial assistance to ASU, primarily through gifts and earnings on endowed funds.

  • Two New Doctoral Degrees Approved by Board of Regents
    October 16, 2020 - The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents approved two new doctoral degree programs for Angelo State University at the board’s regular meeting earlier today (Oct. 16) in Lubbock.

  • New Grant-Funded Projects to Save Students Money on Textbooks
    October 14, 2020 - Six Angelo State University faculty members have been awarded three grants from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to fund their projects that will provide free open-source course materials to students in select classes, eliminating their need to purchase textbooks.

  • New Winter Mini-Session Offering Online Classes
    October 8, 2020 - For the first time ever, Angelo State University is offering a Winter Mini-Session that will allow students to take online classes during the winter break between the end of the current fall 2020 semester and the start of the spring 2021 semester.

  • Counseling Prof & Master’s Degree Win National Online Program Award
    October 6, 2020 - Angelo State University’s online Master of Science (M.S.) in professional school counseling degree program and its director, Dr. Lesley Casarez, have been selected for a 2020 John R. Bourne Outstanding Online Program Award by the Online Learning Consortium (OLC).

  • AEP Foundation Grant for New Engineering Student Hub
    October 2, 2020 - Angelo State University has received a $100,000 grant from the American Electric Power (AEP) Foundation to fund an endowment that will support the new Engineering Student Hub in the ASU Vincent Building. In recognition of that generosity, the facility has been renamed the AEP Foundation Engineering Student Hub.
