Information for:

Minor in World Cultures

Our Minor in World Cultures will leverage existing course offerings while allowing students to benefit by receiving a minor for taking courses that already exist and are offered regularly. Currently, the Department of Security Studies and Criminal Justice offers CUL 2323, CUL 3310, and CUL 3312 every semester. The addition of CUL 4350 World Cultures Capstone would allow students who have taken these three existing World Cultures courses to apply the knowledge and skills that they have learned in them to a capstone research project on World Cultures. The Minor in World Cultures would include these four culture courses (CUL 2323, CUL 3310, CUL 3312, and CUL 4350) and any two of the following existing courses that are offered regularly: GEOG 3302 Human Geography, GEOG 3303 World Regional Geography, HIST 3356 Latin America since 1800, HIST 3372 China and the U.S. since 1800, or HIST 4351 Mexico since Independence.
