Quality career experiences and student success are top priorities for the Department of Communication and Mass Media. Whether they are writing for the Ram Page, filming at Ram TV, interning with a local advertising agency or a host of other activities, students are learning about effective communication.
Real-World Experience
Students in our department use cutting-edge technology to simulate work settings and situations they are likely to encounter in a professional environment. The department operates the weekly campus newspaper, the Ram Page, as well as the campus television studio, Ram TV, and the campus internet radio station, Ram Radio.
The department also works hard to help students arrange internships, which are essential job experiences that can jump-start their careers after graduation.
Award-Winning Faculty
Several of our faculty members have received statewide honors for their teaching skills, and our small classes enable students to receive the individual attention they deserve.
In addition to offering students advising and internship guidance, faculty members are active in research and academic publications. Several faculty members received their doctorates from top-ranked research schools across the country.
