Mission Statement
The mission of the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance is to provide high quality degree programs in accounting and finance, be engaged with both the academic and business communities, and serve the University and local community.

Professional Accreditation
All programs offered in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Intimate Classes
Classes in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance are relatively small and are taught by faculty members and professionals with advanced degrees. Undergraduate business students also have the opportunity to enroll in an accelerated Master of Professional Accountancy (M.P.Ac.) program that allows them to finish both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in five years.
Diverse Faculty
Professors in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance use lecture and discussion methods of teaching and have regular office hours for students with additional needs or questions. The department’s faculty also bring to the classroom real-world job experience in their specializations. International faculty from countries such as India, Jordan and Turkey offer students a world view of business.
Departmental faculty also devote time to research projects on topics ranging from the European Union finance structure to critical reasoning in accounting curricula.
