Undergraduate Academic Advising

Angelo State University encourages you to attend an advising session to ensure that you are taking courses that will allow you to progress toward graduation.

Select your college to learn about the specific advising instructions that pertain to you. Remember to follow the steps for registration schedule so that you can register for classes as early as possible.

Find Your Undergraduate Advisor

College of Education, Norris-Vincent College of Business, and Department of Engineering students, regardless of hours and including transfer students, should contact their professional advisor first. Use the blue “Find Your Undergraduate Advisor” tab above for email information for those advisors.

Students from other majors and colleges with under 45 hours should use the blue “Find Your Undergraduate Advisor” tab above for email information for those advisors.

Students with over 45 hours should email the department chair in their major. Go to https://www.angelo.edu/dept/ for a listing of academic departments. Use the Contact Us tab to locate the department chair email information.

Prospective new first time freshman interested in attending ASU should register for New Student Orientation. For information about NSO, go to https://www.angelo.edu/dept/admissions/transition-programs.php.

New Transfer students should visit https://myfuture.angelo.edu/admission/transfer_students.php for information about becoming an ASU Ram.

How to Access A Degree Evaluation

Follow the instructions below to obtain a degree evaluation.

  • Log on to RamPort
  • Select the Academics tab from the left side-bar. 
  • Find My Classes section
  • Find subsection Degree Planning
  • Click link for Degree Evaluation
  • A new window will generate with an updated degree evaluation via Degree Works.
