Our online Master of Science (M.S.) in educational leadership with Texas Principal Certification prepares teachers who want to further develop their knowledge, skills and mindset to become instructional leaders in the K-12 educational setting.

Our experienced faculty will facilitate and guide you in developing a solid skillset by providing a curriculum that is aligned with the Texas principal standards and competencies, as well as substantial field experience opportunities. Through our 36-credit-hour online program, you will gain a deep understanding of the Texas principal standards and competencies that will provide a solid foundation for your educational leadership future.

  • Elementary and secondary principal or assistant principal

  • Campus or district instructional leadership or administration

Program Highlights

Admission Requirements

  • All college/university transcripts


  • Bachelor’s degree with an overall undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 or at least a 2.75 GPA for the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate work
  • Be currently employed full time as a teacher at a TEA-approved school
  • Hold a valid Texas Standard Teaching Certificate
  • Have two years of documented, creditable teaching in a TEA-approved/recognized school, as shown in your Texas service record
  • Submit a District Acknowledgement form
