The M.A. in curriculum and instruction - professional education program allows certified teachers to earn a master’s degree and combine the necessary content hours required to teach high school dual-credit courses. This degree also prepares individuals to teach courses at the two-year or community college level.

Program Highlights

Courses are offered 100 percent online.
Education courses are eight-week courses. Please note that content area courses may not be eight-week courses.
We stress personal contact and advising. All our faculty are available to meet with students as needed.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Curriculum: Evaluate and modify appropriate curricula and resources to meet student, client and program needs for content area.
- Instruction: Evaluate student abilities and modify instruction within the content area to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
- Practical Experience: Apply creative thinking and utilize new technologies to the solution of practical educational/training problems.

Note: The GRE is NOT required for admission.
Prerequisites
Hold a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 2.75 or better, including all grades on repeated courses, or hold a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 2.75 or better in the last 60 hours of undergraduate work.

You are strongly encouraged to register for the first and second eight-week sessions simultaneously, before the first eight-week session begins.
