Andy and Jean Hennig

Have any of your family members attended Angelo State?

No, I am the first in my family to attend ASU.

What was your most memorable experience in high school?

Jumping 25 feet off a tree into the Concho River after a cross country meet. Probably my first and last time doing so!

What attracted you to Angelo State?

The professors and staff have always been friendly and helpful when I have visited ASU’s campus. The UC and Caf are very nice, clean and have great food! ASU is also quite affordable and has a great scholarship program.

Why did you choose Angelo State?

ASU has an outstanding Physics program, and the professors are super awesome and fun to talk to. ASU is also just a short drive from where I live, making it much easier for me to transition from high school into college life. I also already know quite a few students and professors at ASU, making ASU feel like my new home.

What are your top three bucket list activities to accomplish during your first year at ASU?

1. Make new friends
2. Make the Dean’s List
3. Start a Rubik’s Cube Club at ASU!

After visiting campus, where do you think will be your favorite hangout spot?

I really like the Porter Henderson Library. It’s a cool place to hang out and study!

After graduating from Angelo State, I see myself:

Going to graduate school in Engineering.

Share a fun fact about you for your Ram Family to get to know you.

I can solve the Rubik’s Cube in under 30 seconds!

High School:

Paint Rock High School

I plan on majoring in Physics (and possibly Mathematics).
